The official Queen Mary Students’ Union app. Keep up to date.
Queen Mary University of London students are automatically members of Queen Mary, University of London Students’ Union (QMSU). The Union aims to improve your student experience by listening to your feedback and opinions, representing your views, and providing student-led activities and services.
The official QMSU App gives you a customized experience for getting involved with student groups, finding out about events and getting the latest news about your Union. With the ease of single login and QR codes, you will get the quickest access to information, tickets and student activites.
More about the Union:
Run by students for students
QMSU is led by elected students who work to improve all aspects of your time at university. Representatives work in a variety of ways to make sure your voice is heard. Through Student Council and campaigns, elected students play a role in setting the direction of the Union and providing valuable feedback to the university. You can help to make positive changes by standing for election and representing students on your course, in your halls or the student body in general.
Get involved
Student Groups
There are hundreds of student groups to get involved with that will help you make new friends, spark new interests and gain new skills and experiences! With over 200 societies, 60 sports clubs and a variety of media outlets, there is something for everyone.
Give back
The Union supports the local community through volunteering, fundraising and sports programmes. Volunteers log thousands of hours in one-off and on-going opportunities with charities and not-for-profit organisations. Volunteering Groups, setup by students, deliver projects in local hospitals, schools, community centres and more. Raise and Give (RAG) raises thousands of pounds each year for student nominated charities and offers the chance for students to plan their own events and fundraising campaigns. There is also the opportunity to gain coaching qualifications and deliver sports sessions in schools & the local community as part of the Union’s Community Sport programme.
Stay Active
In addition to joining sports clubs or participating in community sport, there are plenty of other ways to get fit and stay healthy. Get Active is the Union’s turn up and play sports programme. Funded by Sport England, Get Active features special sessions at the Olympic Park, women’s only activities and low cost sessions for all students. You can also create a team with your friends, course mates or student group to compete in sport leagues.
Develop your skills
Getting involved in student groups and representation is a great way to develop your skills and employability but if you want to take it to the next level, the QM Skills Award is here to help. All students involved in Union activities can register for the award. This training and accreditation programme helps you to record your experiences and understand the skills gained through extra-curricular activities.
Visit, Eat & Shop
Did you know? The Union is a registered charity so every penny of profit goes back to supporting student campaigns, welfare and activities. Across the QMUL campuses the Union runs social spaces, gyms, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and reception points for you to take a break, relax or grab something to eat.
Entertainment
The Union runs a lively events programme offering a range of activities including day trips, live music, club nights, spoken word and more. There’s always something to do!
