Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 Will Launch for Nintendo Switch on July 28

Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will release July 28 on Nintendo Switch, August 2 on Playstation, and in winter 2022 on PC, according to its developer and also publisher, Inti Creates recently. Two familiar faces, Gunvolt and Copen will return in GV3, the third game of Azure Striker Gunvolt franchise. And a newly added character Kirin will meet Gunvolt series fans as GV3's publishing. Players will immerse into the fast-paced anime and smooth gameplay experience delivered by Gunvolt 3.
Story Introduction
More and more Septima adepts, a type of supernaturally empowered beings, had emerged while conflict between normal people and Septima holders was increasingly fierce. After putting an end to Eden's ambition of ruling the whole world by eliminating non-adepts, Gunvolt found his new power beyond Septima was activated accidentally. Soon Shadow Yakumo, the sister organization of the Sumeragi Group knew that and they sent their battle priestess, Kirin to seal his superpower by her Septima, Radiant Fetters...
Three protagonists
- Kirin
“Battle Priestess of Shadow Yakumo—coming through!”
Kirin, the new star, has a very special superpower, Radiant Fetters which enables her to seal other adepts' Septima. She fights with her sword, and katana, and weakens her enemies by throwing enchanted talismans. She can also borrow Gunvolt's electrical superpower to make a sudden movement and cut her enemies in half.

“Oversurge, Azure Striker! My lightning will pierce the fog and send these memories back into the depths where they belong!”
Gunvolt attackS his enemies with a special dart gun to lock on to his enemies. Then he will use his powerful "Voltaic Arts" to kill his adversaries.

“A ‘cute mascot’? I’m not just a pretty face, you know?”
Lumen's Septima "Anthem" allows her to support Gunvolt and Kirin in battle and also awaken Gunvolt's powers should Kirin be defeated.
Game features
- Real-time game with "Story mode+"
The new game mode "Story mode+" enables players to voice chat while playing this fast-paced action video game.
- Exhilarating 2D action gameplay
Kirin has the capacity to catch enemies up instantly and eliminish them with her special ability "Arc Chain", a combination of mobility with a powerful finishing blow.
Gunvolt also brings new skills this time. His satisfying special abilities "Spark Dash" and "Lightning Assault" enable him to kill his opponents in a sec.
- New songs from "the Muse", Lumen
Lumen sings songs to rouse the spirits of Kirin and Gunvolt and heal their fatal wounds. 7 more brand new songs and an unbelievable selection of classic songs are added into this new season.
- Skill combination - "Image Pulse"
If enough "Image chips" are collected, a new special Septima, "Image Pulse" can be released, which enables players to summon comrades or rivals from Gunvolt's past to join the combats.
More than 150 chips can be collected which allow players to take on and replay any challenges in this game.
