This is an exciting opportunity for fans to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the game and to get a sneak peek at what's to come in the highly anticipated 4.0 update.

    Genshin Impact 4.0: Release Date

Genshin Impact's official Twitter page has confirmed that the 4.0 update will arrive on August 16th, 2023. Along with this announcement, the developers have also revealed that players can expect to see three new characters added to the game, along with a host of other exciting new content. Fans of the game can look forward to exploring all of the new features and additions that will be introduced in this upcoming update.

    Genshin Impact 4.0: Fontaine

Version 4.0 of the game will introduce players to the Nation of Justice, Fontaine. With its vast open waters, players will have the opportunity to explore the depths of these waters, thanks to the Transoceanic Sourcewater's blessing. This unique feature allows players to fully immerse themselves in the captivating scenery that Fontaine has to offer.

    Genshin Impact 4.0: Multi-Layered Map

Ever since the release of the Sumeru region in Version 3.0, players have been requesting a feature that would allow them to easily view the various underground areas that were added to the game map. This was because it was difficult to identify the existence of these underground areas just by looking at the main overworld map. Furthermore, once players entered an underground area, they had no way of knowing its layout, leading to confusion and reliance on memory. Fortunately, it seems that the developers have listened to our concerns with the upcoming Fontaine update.

Beginning with Version 4.0, players will now have access to a multi-layered map that displays the layout of the underground areas in Fontaine, as well as some of the existing regions in Sumeru. This map provides a topographical view of any underground land, which will be displayed on the Teyvat Overworld map in-game. This new feature will allow players to better understand the terrain of the area they're in and explore with ease. This improvement greatly enhances the gaming experience by making underground exploration less confusing and more convenient.

    Genshin Impact 4.0: New Characters

Genshin Impact's official Twitter accounts hinted on July 3, 2023 that Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet might become playable characters in Version 4.0, following the pattern of previous posts. Additionally, Fontaine will likely introduce a total of 11 new characters, including Fatui Harbinger and Arlecchino.

    Fontaine Battle Pass Weapons

The upcoming Version 4.0 of Genshin Impact will introduce a brand new set of Battle Pass Weapons. With this update, players will have access to a total of 10 different types of weapons through the Battle Pass Bounty. Once players unlock the Gnostic Hymn and reach Level 30 within the Pass, they will be able to choose one of these new weapons as a reward. However, the specific details and characteristics of these weapons have yet to be revealed by the Devs. Fans can expect to receive official announcements with further information, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.

    Fontaine Craftable Weapons

Recent leaks have revealed that Genshin Impact's upcoming Fontaine update will introduce a range of new craftable weapons. These weapons will feature ATK percent as a substat, except for the polearm which will have HP percent instead.

In addition to the new craftable weapons, players will also have the opportunity to obtain a brand-new sword as a reward for completing an event. While details about this sword are currently limited, it is sure to be a highly sought-after item among players. We look forward to learning more about these exciting new additions to the game.

    Fontaine New Artifacts

The developers of Genshin Impact have taken note of the struggles that players face when it comes to farming artifacts, and have announced some exciting changes to alleviate these issues in Version 4.0. Firstly, the inventory limit for artifacts will be increased from 1,500 to 1,800, giving players more space to collect and store artifacts without having to worry about running out of space. This will allow players to collect a wider variety of artifacts to either use as fodder for other artifacts or to roll for good sub-stats.

In addition, the “Mystic Offering” feature, which can be accessed through the Crafting Bench in-game, will be expanded to include 8 new Artifact Sets that players can exchange. This system allows players to exchange unwanted or duplicate artifacts for other valuable items or sets. With the addition of these 8 new Artifact Sets, players will have even more options to choose from when exchanging their artifacts, increasing their chances of obtaining the specific sets they desire for their characters.

The 8 new Artifact Sets that will be made available in Version 4.0 include Tenacity of the Millelith, Pale Flame, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, Emblem of Severed Fate, Husk of Opulent Dreams, Ocean-Hued Clam, Vermillion Hereafter, and Echoes of an Offering. These changes are sure to make artifact farming a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for all Genshin Impact players.
