Game play revolves around portal pistols, which can be used to make doors to other parts of the level - shoot two portals, and you will be able to reach that one by stepping through the other. Here's a unique twist that's important for solving very intelligent, whether you drive the laser through it, dropping rocks into it, or even jumping into it yourself, effectively launching yourself off the cliff using the portal to gain momentum, and clearing the gap. The game has a good learning curve, which helps beginners take the basics very quickly - but a lot of critical thinking is involved here, to say the least.
