You can prevent DNS spoofing attacking, which will give an harmful (fake) IP of an domain, to steal your password by manually config your DNS on device instead of you DNS gave from Router
Example On Android I use DNS Changer to fast change my DNS to Cloudflare DNS, I never use default DNS from router or ISP because it is not safe and not reduce ads
