Üsküdar University is a foundation university established in Istanbul in 2011 by the Human Values ​​and Mental Health Foundation (IDER). The purpose of establishment; To contribute to the academic world by becoming unique in the field of Behavioral Sciences and Health and producing knowledge above world standards, to develop projects in this direction, to create resources for this entire production process, to cooperate and to train qualified people.

The university has more than 1000 academic and administrative staff; 5 Faculties (Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Health Sciences), 1 Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO), 5 Institutes (Institute of Social Sciences, Institute of Health Sciences, Institute of Science and Technology, Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences, Institute of Sufi Studies) prepares its students for the future in an informed and equipped way with 34 research centers and more than 50 laboratories.
