Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Malik Al-Ta’i Al-Jiyani is one of the most important grammatical and linguistic systems, because it received the attention of scholars and writers who rushed to comment on it, with explanations and footnotes. Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Malik Al-Ta’i Al-Jiyani, known as Abu Abdullah, who died in the year 672 AH .[8] He is a linguist and grammarian, and one of the most important grammarians in the seventh century AH. He was born in Andalusia, emigrated to the Levant, settled in Damascus, and wrote many books. He received his education under a number of scholars of Andalusia, such as Abu Ali al-Shalubin, then he traveled to the East and went to Aleppo and learned more from Ibn al-Hajib and Ibn Yaish. He was an imam in grammar and language, and a scholar of Arab poetry, readings, and hadith narration, and what is mentioned about him was that he used to facilitate poetry compositions, which made him leave multiple poetic systems, including the Alfiya, as well as the healing sufficient in three thousand verses, and others. Ibn Malik was an imam, ascetic, and pious, keen on Knowledge and memorized it, so that on the day of his death he memorized eight verses of poetry, and he was famous for being a lot of reading and quick review, he did not write anything from his memorization until he reviewed it in its places from the books, and he was only seen while he was praying or reciting the Noble Qur’an, or classifying or reading the Qur’an to his students. And he remained in this state until he died on (Monday 12 Shaaban 672 AH - 21 February 1274 AD) in Damascus, and he was prayed at the Umayyad Mosque.
