Prayer was and remains the pillar of religion and the beginning of obedience, and the path leading to the Paradise of the Lord of creation and creation. It is the difference between the believer and the unbeliever, and it is the greatest pillar of Islam after the two testimonies. It is the first thing for which the servant is held accountable. If it is righteous, his deeds are righteous, and if it is corrupt, all his deeds are corrupt. It forbids immorality and evil. Sins are washed away and bad deeds are expiated, and God raises ranks and removes sins through it, and the angels pray over the one who does it as long as he prays. Therefore, Muslims do not disagree that intentionally abandoning the obligatory prayer is one of the greatest sins and the greatest of major sins, and that its sin in the eyes of God is greater than the sin of killing a soul and taking money, and that whoever abandons it is exposed to God’s punishment, wrath, and disgrace in this world and the hereafter. In this book, the author presented some rulings in which the opinions of scholars differed regarding prayer: such as the ruling on one who abandons prayer, and sometimes Friday prayer, and when the one who abandons prayer is killed, and for how much he is killed, then is he killed for punishment or blasphemy, and other rulings?

His author detailed his issues and mentioned the opinions regarding someone who intentionally abandons prayer. Should he be killed or not? And if he is killed, should he be killed as an apostate and an infidel are killed? Should he not be washed, not prayed over, and not buried in Muslim cemeteries? Or does he kill someone while ruling by converting to Islam? Are deeds invalidated and invalidated by abandoning prayer or not? Are day prayers accepted at night and night prayers accepted during the day or not? Is the prayer of someone who prays alone valid when he is able to pray in congregation or not? If it is true, is it a sin to leave the group or not? Is it required to attend the mosque or is it permissible to do it at home? What is the ruling on someone who performs prayer without bowing and prostrating? What was the amount of prayer of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? What is the truth about the reduction that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, warned about? Finally, how was the prayer of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him?

❇️ Some reviews of the book of prayer and the rulings of leaving it by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah ❇️

▪️Source of reviews: www.goodreads.com/book/show/5941144▪️

- A very wonderful book, which combines jurisprudential rulings on the ruling on one who abandons prayer, its times and how to perform it, and in its second section there is a very interesting hadith about humility in prayer and bringing the heart to mind in it, and the most important established supplications from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in every part of it.. May God have mercy on the Sheikh. Islam Ibn al-Qayyim

Ahmed Taha

- The book includes most of the various rulings related to prayer. It presents the opinions of jurists and transmitted hadiths, and weakens, corrects, and comments. This is a good thing, but I am not in the process of delving into it and researching it at this time. Therefore, most of what is in the book I did not read with concentration, except for the last chapters, which are what I dealt with. Description of the Prophet’s prayer and some meanings deduced from the pillars of prayer

Religion

- Oh God, this book is one of the most wonderful things written about prayer. It should be in every Muslim home

Hossam Saeed

- A book of great benefit in the rulings on prayer and the response to the corresponding narrations about it, and most importantly, its conclusion with a simplistic description of the prayer of the Most Noble Messenger, and I find that I highly recommend reading it. There is nothing more important than mastering prayer, which is the pillar of this religion.

Halit

- You cannot read this book without feeling that you have failed in the most important pillar of Islam after the two Shahadas, as Ibn al-Qayyim, may God have mercy on him, presents successful answers supported by sufficient evidence to the questions of prayer, beginning with the punishment for abandoning it and the disagreement of scholars regarding that, so the ruling on delaying it, then the ruling on a condition. The group is in it.. so he will continue with that until he finishes all the questions related to it, and conclude his book with the description of the prayer of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said, “Pray as you have seen me praying.”

Aziz Al-Ayashi

- The book is wonderful, as usual, when Ibn al-Qayyim deals with a topic, every aspect of it, every part, every opinion, and every hadith.. Among the chapters of the book: the ruling on one who neglects prayer, the ruling on one who neglects Friday prayers, types of disbelief, are deeds invalidated by abandoning prayer, missed prayer, the prayer of the Prophet May God bless him and grant him peace.. Truly a valuable book
