Among the reliable books of Sirat so far, the Sirat of Imam Ibn Hisham (Rah) is quite ancient and significant. Originally, he had summarized the book of history of Imam Ibn Ishaq (Rah), and at the same time he has abandoned irrelevant, unreliable and exaggerated narrations in his view. This is the oldest biography written about the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Which is a shortened version of the book "Sirat Muhammad Ibn Ishaq" written at the beginning of the Abbasid period. Whoever tries to find the content of the original Sirat from this collection of Ibn Hisham will find in it the identity of extreme devotion and absolute fidelity - which was the characteristic of the Muslim scholars of that ancient age.

In the case of Ibn Ishaq's summary in Sirat, Ibn Hisham Rahmatullahi Alaihi took the moderation of his teacher Abu Muhammad Ziyad Ibn Abdul Malik Al Bukayy and evaluated him specifically. He said, ‘I have left out those things; The narration of which will be unpleasant to many or which Bukayi did not prove to us by his own narration. The issues discussed in Sirat Ibn Hisham can be divided into three parts. E.g.

1. History of the Age of Ignorance. Where he discusses the history of other Arab tribes, including the descendants of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the history of Mecca and Yemen.

2. Life and history of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Makkah and Madinah.

3. The wars and military campaigns of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

From ancient times to the present day, the book has been considered as a generally accepted and authentic book by Sirat readers. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) researched and worked on the life and work of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), but it is difficult to find that he did not meet Ibn Hisham in Sirat and did not benefit from it.

In this connection, Allama Ibn Khalliqan (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Ibn Hisham has compiled, compiled and summarized the entire biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) including the military and general biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) collected by Ibn Ishaq. This is what is currently being adorned in the hands of the reader named Sirat Ibn Hisham.

This valuable resource was first published in 1994 by the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh for Bengali-speaking readers under the title Siratunnabi (sa.). The Islamic Foundation Bangladesh has published the book in 4 volumes. However, the book was published by the Islamic Center Bangladesh even before that.
