釋道岸

The old monk was born in Hui'an County, Fujian Province, on the 26th day of the 10th lunar month in the 18th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1892 AD). His common surname was Huang and his given name was Wenlai. Due to his poor family background, his brother had no money to marry. When Shi was four years old, his parents sold him to a farmer named Li in Jinjiang County as an adopted son.
