Scientists, however, lack reliable data on changes in land cover needed for sustainable development, climate change research, and nature conservation. To protect Europe’s beautiful and diverse landscapes for future generations, we must take stock of its land cover today.

You can help! Using FotoQuest Europe on your smartphone, you can contribute to science by taking pictures and providing vital information on land cover and land use in Europe. You will also help scientists understand how crowdsourcing can be used to complement official data.
