Bhagavad Gita is part of the epic Mahabharata. Bhagavad Gita means the songs of God.

Before the beginning of the Kurukshetra war in the Mahabharata, Aruchunan once visited the opposition and refused to fight because of his relatives, friends and teachers. Seeing this, his charioteer, Krishna, explained that while fighting for Dharma, relations cannot be interrupted. In that description he spoke of philosophies and yogas. These dialogue ideas are the Bhagavad Gita. Of these, 620 slokas are spoken by Krishna, 57 by Arjuna, 67 by Sanjayan, and one by Sloth, by Thirutharashtra, with a total of 700 slokas and 18 chapters.

This book is also known as the publicity trick. It is known as the Prasanatraya, which means the three foundations, together with the Brahma Sutra and the Upanishads.
