Augmented Reality App from Gujarat Tourism

The initiative is conceptualized as Speaking Coffee Table Book, on Cinematic Gujarat, which is a collection of 60 most picturesque locations of Gujarat for film shootings. The Coffee Table Book is unique for its ability to enable readers to scan the photographs on the book through their mobile phones using an application that is easily downloadable on smart phones and the linked video/voice starts running on it which are already stored on a remote server. Therefore, this amalgamation of conventional text and digital technology, stands this book out as a unique project which makes readers of all ages interested in the book reading.

This digitally manifested speaking CTBs is conceptualized and designed by a partner organization, by the name of Unified Brainz Group Holding Inc., Ahmedabad for Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd. (TCGL), depicting the most beautiful and conspicuous locations in Gujarat appealing to the never satiating desires of the film makers who are always on the hunt for new and unique locations which have not been discovered by populace. A suitable location for a particular scene of a film makes all the difference for the scene’s success &popularity in the film. At the same time, films have emerged as powerful tools of development and promotion of popular locations.
