Coaching application for ERP Therapy to overcome Tourette Syndrome.

The "BT Coach" app was developed to support home practicing of exposure and response prevention (ERP) in the treatment of tics and Tourette Syndrome. During this behavioral therapy, patients learn to suppress their tics as long as possible (= response prevention) while learning to tolerate the premonitory urges/tic alarms that precede the tics (= exposure). During the homework exercises, the app simulates the coaching role of the therapist and encourages the patient to suppress all their tics, while focusing on the tic alarms. BT-Coach is suitable for both children and adults.
