About Chemistry

Periodic Table. Properties of elements. Reaction search. Molar mass calculator.

"Chemistry Handbook" contains Periodic table of elements, set of reference materials and services for studying inorganic chemistry. Handbook will be useful to students of secondary schools, higher and special educational institutions.

Periodic table of elements

The periodic table contains information on 118 elements confirmed at the beginning of 2020. The table is presented in two layouts

 • IUPAC standard 18-column

 • Eight-group form, used in some countries as the main

There are many filters and groupings for displaying sets of elements with the same properties implemented in the "Chemistry":

 • metallic classification

 • max valence

 • state of matter

 • radioactivity

 • natural occurrence

 • nutrition

 • Goldschmidt classification

and some others

Properties of elements

In "Chemistry" we collected the atomic, physical, thermodynamic, electrochemical, crystallographic and some other elements properties information.

Here is some of them:

 • oxidation state

 • atomic radii

 • electronegativity

 • electron affinity

 • melting temperature

 • boiling temperature

 • triple point

 • critical point

 • thermal conductivity

 • molar heat capacity

 • heat of fusion, vaporization

 • thermal expansion

 • density

 • elasticity

 • hardness

 • resistivity

 • superconducting temperature

 • crystal structure

The distribution of electrons in atom energy levels is also presented in schematic forms.

All data is structured and displaying in a convenient form. There is a photo gallery available for each element of the periodic table. We developed a quick search system, including voice-search, for fast convenient access to necessary information of elements properties values.

Isotopes

The application contains a database of more than 5000 isotopes and isomers of the elements of the Periodic table. The following information is available for isotopes:

 • number of neutrons

 • isotope atomic mass

 • half-life

 • decay modes

 • decay products

 • spin and parity

 • abundances

Also, there is additional information available for some of the isotopes

Chemical reactions search service

We collected a database of more than 3000 compounds and more than 10000 inorganic chemical reactions. The reactions condition are also specified if it is defined. Flexible search allows the user to find necessary reactions with a minimum of raw data.

Molar mass calculator

Simple calculator of molar/molecular mass of a compound, including the percentage of the mass of elements.

All features and data of the "Chemistry Handbook" application, except for elements' photo-galleries, are available without an internet connection. You may use day or night themes. You can share all search results, gallery images, and other elements data with friends and acquaintances.

"Chemistry" is the first of the series of the science reference applications from the Direct Mobile. We will be glad to hear your opinion about the application and suggestions for its improvement.
