On the technical side, a simple setup will help your site load faster. Heavy images will slow a site down and frustrate visitors. They came to find out about your book, not wait around watching their fingernails grow.

On that note, don’t show off your social media feeds if you don’t post regularly. Your author website should be kept up-to-date. Easier said than done? Yup.
