凡圣佛仙神庆典，或消灾求安，或遇疑难事时，选大小长短均等好香三炷焚之，先祈祝后，平排插于炉中。祭祀毕，约10至15分钟后，剩小半炷香时，视三炷香长短，对照香谱说明，吉凶必现谱中，奇验灵应如神。
