A mosque is a place of worship for Muslims or Muslims. Mosque means a place of prostration, and other names for mosques in Indonesia are mosque, langgar or surau. The term is intended for mosques that are not used for Friday prayers, and are generally small in size. Besides being used as a place of worship, the mosque is also the center of life of the Muslim community.

The activities of celebrating holidays, discussions, religious studies, lectures and learning the Qur'an are often carried out in mosques. Even in the history of Islam, mosques also play a role in social activities for the military. The mosque is a place of worship for Muslims, where Muslims do many religious activities in the mosque for example praying, reading, and so on
