Hello and welcome to The Balance Rooms Yoga and Wellness Centre, opening in Pickering North Yorkshire in the Spring of 2019. My name is Chantelle Dawson and I am the owner and founder of The Balance Rooms. I am originally from Vancouver Canada (where yoga is in our blood!), but have lived in England for many years in the past decade, in both North and East Yorkshire. Having married a Yorkshireman in 2007, we have spent time in both of our native countries, and settled on Pickering as the perfect place to raise our two young daughters. We are thrilled to be a part of the local community and we are truly excited to add a flavour of health and wellness to Smiddy Hill. My inspiration for The Balance Rooms comes from a long history of yoga practice (my first yoga class was in high school back in 1996!) and a desire to have an integrated health and wellness centre that caters to anybody hoping to enhance their overall wellbeing. I believe that true health stems from finding a balance between our minds, our bodies, and our spirits. You cannot simply nourish one of the three, you must tend to each with loving care. The Balance Rooms will help you do just that!
