Per Diem is a music sequencer containing a 12X3 grid.

You can add objects to the grid, and they will sequentially play their representative sounds.

After 12 beats the composition repeats itself, and you can add or subtract sounds from it. You can change the tempo of the composition by touching the bpm sign.

"Per Diem" allows non-musicians to compose non-melodic themes using plain, non-musical objects, and still achieve results that can very well be described musical.

What does it say about crafts and arts in the digital era?

Can we still see ourselves as "true" artists while submitting to confines of digital programs being delivered to us?

Is everyone an artist nowadays?

Or might the software developers who confine us be the real artists?
