Our aim is to reduce motorcycle casualties on our roads. The app has been designed for young motorcyclists to provide information on how to stay safe on the road, together with information on the use of protective gear; to encourage young riders to wear this gear we have offers on clothing linked to the app and a competition offering free gear. We have filmed 8 episodes of ‘The Adventures of Biker Jack’ with a different road safety topic on each video. These will be released through the app weekly and linked to the competition.

To support young riders should they be unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident, the app will allow them to store emergency contact information and links through GPS to let them know their position. It will explain what they need to do in the event of an accident. We are working with West Midlands Ambulance Service, who will be able to identify anyone with the app by a colour-coded sticker on their helmet.
