Dr. Khondkar Abdullah Jahangir (R.D.) is a popular Islamic personality, writer and researcher of Bangladesh. He was born on February 1, 1961 in Dhopaghat Gobindpur village of Jhenaidah district. He passed Dakhil from Dhaka Government Aliya Madrasa and passed Kamil from Alim, Fazil and Al Hadith department. For higher education, he obtained his PhD degree from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was awarded the best student award twice in a row. He then joined Darus Salam Madrasah, Dhaka as a part-time Shaikhul Hadith, and later joined the Islamic University as a lecturer in the Department of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies.
