Location-based information and legal bases for drone pilots

With the new app "Drone Space" Austro Control provides a guideline, so that one is always safe as a drone pilot go. Essentially, you need to know before the first commissioning of a drone, which can be flown and whether a grant from Austro Control is required for the device. "Drone Space" answers the most important questions.

Features at a glance:

• retrieval of location-based information on the airspace structure.

• Maps always up to date, based on the official aeronautical charts by Austro Control

• After giving altitude and radius indicates whether one is for example in a control zone of an airport or in a restricted area.

i.e. • consideration of their respective bases it is shown whether the desired flight area, the operation is basically allowed or prohibited in general or a specific authorization or validation is required.

• In addition, users get a general information regarding mandatory approval of drones in Austria.

When you create an account (email address / password) are unlocked additional functionalities:

• Fly-Now function: When activated the Fly Now button indicates whether there are in the near vicinity more drones, care must be taken to.

• Log: When activated, a log is also automatically created (unit, date, time, location) which can be used as a recording operation and thus, for example, significantly facilitates the renewal of the operating license.
