Audio tour „EN PASSANT. Impressionism in Sculpture“ at Städel Museum.
ABOUT THE AUDIO GUIDE
The audio guide to the exhibition invites visitors to acquaint themselves with less well-known artworks of Impressionism – sculptures that capture the ephemerality of a moment in bronze, plaster or wax. With a duration of approximately 60 minutes, the app offers illustrated audio tracks on 30 artworks.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Light and colour, atmosphere and the fleeting moment – but how can impressionism be translated into stone or bronze? Edgar Degas, Auguste Rodin, Medardo Rosso, Paolo Troubetzkoy and Rembrandt Bugatti found striking answers to that question. In fascinating juxtapositions, the Städel Museum is bringing together 160 works of sculpture, prints, photographs and paintings – including examples by Monet, Manet, Boldini and Singer Sargent – and thus exploring the phenomenon of impressionist sculpture for the first time ever.
