Al Barzanji is a collection of prayers, praises and narrations of the history of the Prophet Muhammad that were recited with a certain rhythm or tone. In Indonesia Albarzanji is usually sung when there is the birth, circumcision, marriage and birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. Albarzanji contains the life of the Prophet Muhammad, his genealogy, a period where he was a child, a teenager, a young man, until when he was appointed as a prophet. Albarzanji also explained the noble qualities possessed by the Prophet Muhammad and his example.
