As the name implies, Jauharatut Tauhid (Pearl of Tawhid) or commonly called Jauhar Tawhid is a writing about Tawheed which is very beautiful in its scientific knowledge and composition of its language. This scientific work as well as art work was produced by a scholar who is better known as a Hadith expert, namely Sheikh Burhanuddin Ibrahim Al Laqqani from Egypt.

The writing in the form of a series of poems made in the seventeenth century attracted the scholars to praise it and make a review. Among them is Sheikh Ibrahim Al Bajuri, who reviewed it around 1819. The commentary he gave the name Tuhfatul Murid (Gift for Tauhid Lovers). The Al Bajuri Sheikh was later listed as a professor at Al Azhar University in Cairo in 1846. Throughout his life he had produced no less than twenty writings on various kinds of science. He died in 1846 at the age of 76.
