The Renault Clio is one of the most recognized names in the motoring world, one that is synonymous with smaller, well-priced superminis that are fun to drive and have plenty of grand-car charm. We would have preferred the gasoline engine range to be stronger, but there is not much more to complain about: The Renault Clio is one of the cars that can be beaten in the supermini class. Longer (3.99m) and roomier, the Renault Clio moves upmarket in terms of quality and trim and is equipped with equipment befitting a higher-tier segment, including an automatic hand-starter, GPS, and a cruise control/speed limiter feature. The Mk5 Clio is not the most exciting car to drive or even the most comfortable. Still, it is the revised cockpit and the cleverly integrated technology upgrades that make it look and feel more attractive than the superb, if relatively bare, the interior of the Fiesta -- though not quite as refined nor quite as lovely to drive. The Mk5 Clio is not the most thrilling car to go nor the most comfortable.
