Tuan Ngoc is famous for lyrical music. With his distinctive vocals and expressions, he won the appreciation of the industry as well as the admiration of the music lovers. Musicians Ngo Thuy Mien, Vu Thanh An, Tu Cong Phung, Pham Duy .... Trinh Cong Son also views Tuan Ngoc as the male voice singing his most successful songs.

Tuan Ngoc is considered by many people as a male voice "monument" of the new music of Vietnam. "Tuan Ngoc School" has influenced many singers both in overseas as well as in the country such as Nguyen Khang, Tran Thai Hoa, Quang Dung, Xuan Phu.

Tuan Ngoc is married to Thai Thao singer, daughter of musician Pham Duy.

Recently he has performed many times in Vietnam and has recorded two albums in Vietnam: Let Love Go 2 and this afternoon without him. The first official performance of Tuan Ngoc took place in early April 2006 with about 500 guests at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel.
