The Vienna Waterway leads around the Upper and Lower Old Danube. Along 22 selected sites you can learn interesting facts, but also learn a lot about the fauna, flora and the daily preservation of this valuable ecosystem.

The Vienna Waterway presents itself as a walking and cycling path for young and old. Here you can ideally combine leisure fun, enjoyment and discovery tour. It leads past numerous bathing places, but also gastronomy and boat rental companies.

This is how the Old Danube can be experienced from many sides.

As part of the EU-funded LIFE + Alte Donau project, numerous measures are being taken by the City of Vienna and the MA 45 - Vienna Waterways to secure this valuable urban jewel in the long term.
