Located in the heart of Axarquía, whose territory borders the mountains of Malaga, and surrounded by holm oaks, rockroses and brooms; in a landscape in which vineyards predominate and where there are many farmhouses with walkers, hence it is known as "Villa de la Pasa".

El Borge distinguished itself as a focus of rebellion during the Moorish uprising. This rebellious character of the town was still alive, some centuries later, in the figure of the most famous bandit in Malaga: Bizco de El Borge.

Small town with whitewashed facades printed with the color of geraniums and gypsy plants placed in windows and balconies. It is worth walking through its winding and narrow streets, a heritage of Muslim populations, especially through the streets of the old town. The church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario is its most emblematic monument. The Arco de la Pasa, the Fuente del Cuerno and the Rinconcillo neighborhood are also obligatory stops on the tourist itinerary.

Its geographical location will allow you to enjoy both rural tourism and the coast since it is located fifteen minutes from the beaches of Torre del Mar and Rincón de la Victoria.

El Borge is one of the six towns that make up the Ruta de la Pasa. Legends of bandits, splendid views and small towns full of charm where what has been considered the best raisin in the world since the time of the Arabs is still produced.
