This application is designed to show what the current wind conditions are for NOAA buoys within 100 Nautical Miles of your current location.

The application also allows you to select other locations that you wish to do the same query, and create a series of favorite locations for searching again at a later date.

As the NOAA buoys are also available outside of the US, it is also possible to get current wind elsewhere, but the majority of locations are in the US, particularly in coastal areas.
