Combine culture and fun in the country flag game

Guess the names of the world flags is a game that combines entertainment and general culture in particular. While designing the game and gathering information, I was surprised by the number and names I hadn't heard of. It was really fun, the flags of some countries have really strange shapes, and each flag symbolizes the colors of the stories related to its country.

I will give you some information that I read about the flags of the countries and why I took these designs

Flag of Russia

The flag of the Russian Federation consists of three equal horizontal stripes: the upper one is white, the middle one is blue, and the lower one is red. The width-to-length ratio of the flag consists of rectangles in the ratio 3/2

The flag of Russia has been the inspiration for the colors of Slavic unity since 1848, and its origin goes back to 1696 from the flag of the Netherlands, which was adopted by the Dutch revolutionary William Tisci in the 16th century after declaring the separation of the Netherlands. from Spain in 1581

Indian flag

The national flag of India was adopted on 22 July 1947, twenty-four days before India gained independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947.

Symbolism of the flag

Gandhi proposed the current flag formula in 1921 to the Indian National Congress. The designer of the flag is Bengali Venkaya. The flag is centered on a traditional spinning wheel and symbolizes Gandhi's aim to motivate Indians and encourage them to become self-reliant in the production of their clothing fabrics.

Flag of Mozambique

The flag of the Republic of Mozambique was adopted on May 1, 1983 and is considered the only flag in the world that bears the image of the AK-47 weapon. This flag was taken from the flag of the Liberation Front of Mozambique that was used for a short period after independence from Portugal, and resembles the current flag flag, but without the existing logo.

In 2005, a national competition was held to design a new flag and the winning design was chosen from 119 designs, but it has not been approved until now.

Canadian flag

The national flag of Canada, also known as the missander leaf, is a red flag with a white square in the middle with a red palmette leaf with 11 corners.

The flag was adopted on February 15, 1965 to replace the Canadian Red Ensign with the United States

Japanese flag

The national flag of Japan is a white rectangular flag with a large red disc representing the sun in the middle. The flag is officially known as "Nishuki" (日章旗), which means "rising sun" in Japanese, but is popularly known as "Hinomaru" (日の丸), which means "Japanese flag".

This flag was adopted as the national flag by the National Flag and Anthem Act, which was promulgated and entered into force on August 13, 1999. Although there was no previous law defining the national flag, the Hinomaru flag was considered the de facto national flag of Japan. In 1870, a government body at the beginning of the Meiji era issued two decrees, each confirming the use of the Hinomaru as the national flag of Japan. On February 27, 1870, decree no. 57 approving the use of the flag as a national flag for Japanese merchant ships, and on October 27, 1870, decree no. 651 authorizes its use as the approved flag of the Japanese Navy. The use of the Hinomaru was strictly restricted during the early years of the American occupation of Japan after World War II, but was later relaxed.

Flag of Syria

The current flag was first adopted on February 22, 1958 as part of the phase of Syrian-Egyptian unity, which resulted in the establishment of the United Arab Republic, which at that time adopted the aforementioned flag as its official flag. it was raised for the first time in the two countries on April 1, 1958 and remained approved until the separation of the two countries in 1961, then it was used again in 1980, although Syria did not join any union of Arab countries that year, but the ruling regime's desire to show that Syria is favorable to the unity of the Arab ranks is what led him to do so.
