Welcome to the Alpha of COVENS First Time Flow

COVENS is a game of magic, witchcraft and strategy coming to Apple and Google Play in 2016. It represents a new paradigm in real-world game design, using GPS-enabled smart devices and the CREATRIX augmented reality game engine. Players will master a beautiful glyph-based magical system as they compete to build powerful covens (social groups), claim their favorite locations, search for mythical pets and rare items, and wield their magic against players of the opposing faction.

COVENS is a battle between Light and Darkness, driven by the story of the Ember Days.

Note from the Crows: Game Eternal

Covens is designed for perpetuity. We avoided “endgame” and “road to nowhere” approaches, understanding that F2P players, in particular, are savvy to fly-by-night game design and hollow derivatives. Players soon understand that COVENS is something fused with their real world experience. The narrative framework of seasonal tribunals (even the circadian rhythm of day and night) provides the sense that they are part of something communal and perpetual, but also something that is ever-changing. It goes beyond the concept of elder game, and reaches for the holy land of game eternal. Characters, mechanics, styles will evolve; episodic stories will unfold, but the essential atmosphere of the concept, so deeply connected with the rhythms of the real world, promises endurance.
