The name of a remote region surrounded by mountains is Jurachharhi. The meaning of "jur" in Chakma is cold, "rod" means rhyme. There is a rhyme called Jurachari, which is located on the south side of the upazila headquarters. The water in the cold water is very cold. It is named after Jurachharhi Chorra.
