Step Up! is designed for young people over 14, to help you get the most out of your face to face mental health or emotional wellbeing appointments. It is not instead of seeing your worker and you don’t have to use it, if you don’t want to.

To get the best out of the app you need to be using it with your worker. However you can use the app before you start seeing your worker to:

1. Set goals for the changes you want to make.

2. Measure progress against your goals.

3. Review resources and strategies that are approved, safe and designed to be helpful.

4. Add your own strategies.

After you start seeing your worker you will be able to:

1. Receive resources and strategies sent specifically with you in mind.

2. Set therapeutic goals with your worker.

3. Complete the how to help section.

4. Complete questionnaires about you and your difficulties that your worker sends you.

Privacy is an important part of the app. Step Up! is encrypted and meets NHS standards for storing data. There is also a hide screen in case you need it.
