This app has only one funcationality:

When you start it, it will switch off your screen. And it does not break your fingerprint re-authentication unlike other apps. That's it.

Note:

This app requires root!!! If you do not have a rooted phone, it will not work !

Also note, it can take 200-300 ms before the screen goes off, this is due to running a root command - which is objective of this app. So please do not complain about this.

Many other apps do the similar, so why another one?

Almost all other apps lock the screen, but if you then use your fingerprint sensor to re-authenticate in to your device, you get the security screen displayed first (pattern, pin, code etc.), which is completely stupid as your fingerprint was successfully validated already.

This app however, switches off the screen in a way, your fingerprint authentication will still work without landing up on the security screen again.

What else makes this app special?

•No advertisements

•No background services

•No special permissions apart from root

Does this compromise security?

Absolutely no. This app just simulates a press on the power button of the device.

The behaviour is therefore exactly the same than physically pressing the power button. Feel free to try it.
