A bulldozer is a crawler, a continuous tracked tractor, equipped with a substantial metal plate. This plate is called a blade. The blade is used to push large quantities of soild, sand, rubble or such meterial during contruction or conversion work and typically equipped at the rear with a claw-like device, this is known as the ripper to loosen densely compacted materials.
