When a loved one or someone you are otherwise responsible for leaves home for a short walk or exercise, you want to know that they will return home safely and when expected. Yet you don't want to violate their right to privacy by putting them under constant surveillance. You just want to be notified if and when they need help or are at risk of finding themselves in a precarious or uncomfortable situation. If your government has issued a curfew, PeriSecure Alert will warn you if you're in danger of violating the curfew.

PeriSecure is a system of two apps, PeriSecure Alert and PeriSecure Monitor, that work together to provide independence and confidence to older adults to leave home temporarily whenever they want.

PeriSecure Alert runs on the user's phone and shows them their distance and time away from home and notifies them with a beep and a buzz when they are approaching the maximum distance that they had set when starting out, when they should be returning home or if their phone battery is running low.

PeriSecure Monitor runs on a phone or tablet and enables an individual to act as a "guardian angel" to one or more users of PeriSecure Alert, receiving notifications whenever a user 's phone had indicated one of the potential problems indicated above or if the user had pressed a "panic button", which becomes active once they are being monitored with PeriSecure Monitor. In any case, the guardian angel may phone the user or immediately obtain directions to the user's location.

Note that users of PeriSecure Alert are in control, via an app setting, of whether or not their guardian angel should be notified if any of the above events occur.

Used together, PeriSecure Alert and PeriSecure Monitor offer an unparalleled tool in improving independence of seniors and others in need, while at the same time preserving their privacy.
