Prayer is great worship, worship is opened with takbir and closed with greetings, and he is the most important worship after the two sentences of creed. From Ibn Umar radhiallahu anhuma he said: The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:

بني الإسلام على خمس شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزكاة والحج وصوم رمضان

"Islam is built on five (foundation); witness there is no god but Allah and indeed Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, establishes prayer, performs zakat, hajj and fasting Ramadan ". (Narrated by Al-Bukhari no. 7 and Muslim no. 19)
