Al-Salt is one of the governorates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Al-Salt Governorate is located to the west of the city of Amman, where nature has endowed it with beautiful greenery

The city has at least two cemeteries, the first located on the northern slope and in the valley adjacent to it, and the second cemetery in a place known as Sarah in Wadi Shagara. It was characterized by a cave specially prepared to be a church for the dead in the Byzantine era, the walls of which bear religious drawings.
