The first step is to sign up online via app. Whether you're driving your own car or a commercially-licensed vehicle, you must meet the minimum requirements and complete screening by APAD. We want every trip to be hassle-free. So we're here to help with account setup and much more whenever you need it.

Upon submission of complete documentation you will be pre-approved within 2 working days and able to accept trips online. Mandatory documents that are required to upload via app are as follows:

1. NRIC - Only applicable for Malaysians & Permanent Resident of Malaysia.

2. Driving License

3. Insurance Cover Note

* Do not forget to update you vehicle particulars as requested in the app. To avoid being logged out prepare your documents before you start to register. For security reasons you can only register via the app. If you've submitted a wrong email address you will need to register a new account again with the correct email address.

Type of rides available are as follows:

1. U Car - Economy Car - 4 seater

2. U Cab - Metered Taxi - 4 seater

3. Limo - Premium Car - 4 seater

4. MPV - Premium MPV - 6 seater

Only vehicles manufactured from year 2010 and above qualify.

U Car Driver operating cities are Kuala Lumpur & Johor Baharu, Malaysia.

All fares are determined by time and distance with no surge. Partner Drivers keep 100% of the fares. However we do charge 'App Terminal Fee' on a monthly subscription basis of RM 30.00 i.e. RM 1.00 per day with unlimited trips for the usage of the app. This fee will commence on May 2019.

Approved Partner Drivers for private cars will be charged a yearly licensing fee of RM 50.00 for registration(admin fee), RM 100.00 for vehicle permit and RM 15.00 for E-Drivers Card. Total RM 165.00

Approved Taxi Partners and will be charged a yearly licensing fee of RM 50.00 for registration(admin fee) including E-Drivers Card. Total RM 50.00

The registration fee is payable upon approval from APAD and we will notify you by email and phone.

Further steps...upon payment you will be informed via email on PSV, JPJ, Puspakom and Insurance coverage for e-haling vehicles.

You hereby agree to be bound by the Terms of Service, and any future amendments and additions to the Terms of Service as published from time to time at https://u-car.cab/terms. Your data is safe with us. We comply with PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act 2010) Malaysia. This constitutes a legal agreement between you and Starfish Travel (M) Sdn Bhd (Co. No. 607595-M) If you do not agree, do not continue using the Application.
