The MOMO CONFEITARIA was inaugurated in 1989 by double entrepreneurs Marcelo and Eugenia. They found the ideal property in the heart of the forest, at the corner of Itajubá streets with Pouso Alegre. The corner was traditional brand of Carnival of Belo Horizonte and therefore the chosen name was a tribute to the King of Carnival.

The beginning was very difficult, the routine of daily life began with the still dark day and came to ten, eleven o'clock at night. But despite the difficulties, the company grew ... So, in 1992, decided to open there close to the MOMO in Itajubá street, Bakery Colombina, which brought new bakery with parking, now one of the most diverse city and one of the main business of the group, a real success. The MOMO Buritis, inaugurated in 2005, is considered an attractive shopping stop. In addition to lunch and all MOMO products, it has been adapted to the target audience by offering differentiated snacks boards because it has become a meeting place for young people and students from the neighborhood.
