Sheth Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi represents entire Shwetamber Murtipujak tradition of Jain religion. Here, Pedhi does not means business firm but an institution to carry out its activities. Interestingly, it is not named after anyone. Two words Anand and Kalyan mean bliss and well being of the entire universe. The existence of Sheth Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi can be traced back to over 300 years.
This Pedhi was formed into religious trust and its first constitution came into existence on 19th June, 1880 A.D in presence of 32 representatives from 23 cities and 103 distinguished members of Jain Shwetamber Murtipujak Community.
