Thomso is the cultural festival of IIT Roorkee, with a multitude of talented artists and eminent personalities gracing the stage. It attracts a whopping crowd of over 40000 and boasts of being the largest and the most happening event in Uttarakhand and the neighbouring states. Recognizing the same, the Govt. of Uttarakhand has termed it as the "Youth Festival of Uttarakhand" in 2005.
