Dr. Badr Abou El Majd is research scientist in applied mathematics & engineering

He obtained his master degree from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6) in Numerical Analysis and received his Ph.D. from INRIA Sophia Antipolis in applied mathematics with a thesis entitled “Hierarchical algorithms and game strategies for multidisciplinary optimization. Application to the optimization of a business aircraft wing”, completed Post-Doctoral research at PPrime Institut (CNRS/ENSMA/University of Poitiers), and taught at the University of Avignon before going to Ecole Centrale Paris as scientist researcher. His current research interests are focused on Multidisciplinary optimization, Concurrent optimization, Model reduction, Supply chain engineering and modeling of physical phenomena. He conducts research with academic laboratory as well as industrials (Piaggio Aero, Dassault Aviation, Eurodecision, etc). He participated in several national and international projects (ACTIVOPT, OPSIM, ANR CALINS, CNRST). Dr. Badr Abou El Majd is the author of several publications in international journals and conferences, two book chapters, one book and several research and technical reports.
