Tenali Ramakrishna(a.k.a Tenali Ramalinga, a.k.a Tenali Raman) who was known as Vikatakavi (jester poet)was a very famous Telugu poet who hails from the present Andhra Pradesh region. Tenali Ramakrishna composed works on religion in Telugu. Tenali Ramakrishna was one of the Ashtadiggajas or the eight poets at the court of Krishnadevaraya, the Vijayanagara emperor. Tenali Ramakrishna is known for his wit and sense of humour. The humourous stories about him are very popular among telugu people and are liked by kids.
