The increasing demand for soybean commodities has increased from year to year in accordance with the increasing level of welfare and the need to fulfill national nutrition. Imports of soybean commodities are still being carried out considering that domestic soybean production has not been able to meet national needs.

Glycine max (L.) Merril soybeans are usually cultivated in paddy fields which are planted during the autumn season after rice planting. Meanwhile, in dry land (moor) soybeans are generally planted during the rainy season. The Agricultural Research and Development Agency through the Research Institute for Legumes and Tubers (Balitkabi) has assembled soybean production technology for paddy fields and dry land. This technology is expected to increase the profit value of soybean farming.

Integrated Soybean Plant and Resource Management (PTT) is an innovative and dynamic approach in an effort to increase farmer production and income through participatory assembly of technological components with farmers. PTT Soybean aims not only to increase soybean productivity in a sustainable manner, but also to increase production efficiency. The development of soybean PTT in a location must pay attention to the condition of local resources, so that the applied technology can be felt as intended.

This Soybean PTT technical manual was prepared to provide guidance to the Agriculture Office, Extension Office, and extension workers, as well as field implementers (farmer groups and farmers).
