The word “Hydroponic” defines as any means to grow plants via a medium that does not include the use of soil but involves nutrient solution made in the water. The main objective of hydroponics is to supply the ideal nutritional environment for optimum plant performance. Farmers typically try to provide ideal environmental factors also. Plant performance may be further optimized by controlling the climate and lighting.

The goal of our project is to design, control, and automate a hydroponic system using IoT. Growing plants hydroponically will require a certain amount of heat, light, and nutrients to grow. Multiple sensors will be used to monitor and control different parameters of the hydroponic system such as temperature, humidity, PH level, etc. using edge computing. An Android application will also be developed for the user through which the user can set values, view adjusted values of and temperature, humidity, PH level, and light, view the current status of the hydroponic system at any time. A web-based interface for an admin will also be developed which allows the admin to register the users.
