My Wolf MOD

Use this addon to upgrade your wolf and give it new abilities to make it more useful to yourself, but also to provide it with better tools to survive by itself. At this point most of the upgrades add quite basic abilities but hopefully we will be able to see more (such as storage and riding) in future updates.

How does it work?

You can upgrade a tamed wolf by giving it any of the following items. The upgrades are fair and don’t make the wolf too overpowered which is great.

The player must wear specific gear items to use certain items to upgrade the wolf.

Red Mushroom: Turns wolf into a baby, it can breed though

Nether Wart: Turns wolf into a giant wolf

Brown Mushroom: Turns wolf into the default size

Arrow (player must wear golden chestplate): New attack style – shoots arrows at enemies

Snowball: (player must wear golden chestplate) New attack style – throws snowballs at enemies

Sugar: Increases speed of your wolf, same speed as baby zombie

Clay: Resets wolf speed back to normal

Feather: No fall damage

Magma Cream: Immune to fire and lava, sensitive to rain (can’t be used alongside pufferfish)

Pufferfish: Wolf can no longer drown (can’t be used alongside magma cream)

Spider Eye (player must wear golden chestplate): New attack style – inflicts poison, duration 30 secs

Golden Apple: Sets health to 15 hearts

Fermented Spider Eye (player must wear golden chestplate): Wolf deals weakness effect, 30 sec duration, it no longer inflicts damage (incompatible with any other damage effects)

Fire Charge (player must wear golden chestplate): Recommended for the Nether. Wolf shoots small fire charges at the blaze, each attack is at an interval of 2 seconds

Blaze Rod: Recommended during night. Makes the wolf have an angry face when it attacks something.

And so it did. It is almost the same size as myself.

It’s not just aesthetics though. You can also make upgrades, such as the arrow upgrade which will make your wolf shoot arrows when attacking enemies.
