This is a book in Tamil language on properties of foods i.e. Padartha guna cinthamanii by Late பம்மல் சம்பந்த முதலியார் who was well known for having developed Tamil drama for about five decades. The author has compiled the properties of various foods based on his personal experience and has been bold enough to share the same with the Tamilians in spite of not being a qualified Siddha medicine practitioner.

Though he was a lawyer, he played a major role for the deveopment of Drama in Tamilnadu in the early part of 20th century. The book has been nationalised by the Govt. of Tamilnadu so that everyone can have access to it.

Our effort has been just to reproduce it without any change except to create index for easy access through database instead of book form.

The book covers several food items of daily use and is valuable to understand their properties. This will help everyone to take right food at the proper time.

This is a valuable book.

Remember that the author remained healthy and active even in his eighties.
